Sri Govindaji Gaudiya Matha is a Gaudiya Vaishnava Hindu Temple located in Houston, TX. Our congregation has been meeting since 1994 and established a beautiful temple near Katy, TX in 2012.

Humans search for the truth

Humans are certainly different from other species as they have an interest to inquire:

  • “Who am I?”
  • “What is the purpose of my life?”
  • “What should I do to bring the most benefit to myself and others around me?”

Vedic knowledge revealing all these truths has been carefully preserved and passed down for the benefit of all sincere seekers. We are individuals from various traditions and ethnic backgrounds, who have come together to acquire the knowledge in the ancient spiritual tradition of Bhakti. Each of us has a unique personal experience of  how enlivening and life-changing this knowledge can be. Thus from the core of our hearts we would like to welcome anyone and everyone: “Please come, check us out and see for yourself, if your “big questions of life” will begin unveiling. Most of us are disciples of Srila Bhaktivedanta Narayana Goswami Maharaja. A few of our senior members are disciples of Srila Bhaktivedanta Swami Maharaja, Srila Prabhupada, who has brought the teaching of Bhakti to the West in 1965.
