Hari-katha by Sripad BV Avadhoot Maharaja, Sripad BV Tirtha Maharaja and Sripad BV Dandi Maharaja from July 3, 2014

Why do we need this Temple in Houston?

Hari-katha by Sripad BV Avadhoot Maharaja (English), Sripad BV Tirtha Maharaja (Hindi) and Sripad BV Dandi Maharaja (Engish).

Gurudeva beautifully explains the meaning of Guru-purnima and Guru-puja.

Tomorrow (Saturday, July 12) is Guru-purnima, which is also Srila Sanatana Goswami's disappearance day. It is an ancient Gaudiya Vaisnava tradition to remember and glorify our Guru-varga, the line of spiritual preceptors on this day.  We are going to meet and celebrate Guru-purnima both on Saturday, after 7pm aarti and on Sunday at our regular Sunday program time 5 - 7 pm.

Sunday celebration will be official, and on Saturday we will have a rather more intimate gathering of disciples and followers and share Gurudeva's memories. Join us.

Temples are embassies of the spiritual world, the place where the Lord agrees to reside and accept our service or expressions of love. The idea is that we practice our devotion to God and thus develop our relationship with Him.
Here at SGGM there are innumerable seva opportunities. Please contact us, and we'll do our best to accommodate your desire to serve the Lord.
